I have been involved in creative endeavors most of my life. As every artist knows the creative impulse is innate and irrepressible. My art has encompassed oil and acrylic painting, drawings in graphite and colored pencils, needlework, and quilting.
My interest in quilting has evolved from the traditional methods and quilt history to contemporary quilted art pieces, as well as, mixed media fiber art, altered books, fiber art books, and soft sculpture.
The use of embroidery, button work, beading, and painting embellish my art pieces.
I want my use of color, fiber, subject matter, and embellishments in my art to attract, intrigue, and entice the viewer to come take a closer look.
