John Crowe

I grew up loving the artistic process. When I was little a blank sheet
of paper was all I needed to overcome hours of boredom. My mind has
always allowed room for imagination, that mysterious world where
unbelievable things are possible.
By the time of my College years I had fallen in love with photography
and painting. After attending Herron School of Art and Webster
University where my Major was Photography I found I was learning more
from books and other artists outside of the Universities Curriculum, so
I left my junior year and entered the so called real world. It was
hard. Working jobs that had nothing to do with my talent or passion
pushed me into a state where I felt it was do or die, so I took my
portfolio to as many photographers as I could. I began assisting and
learned about the business of photography and lighting. Befor long I
was traveling nationally to photograph Colorguard competitions which
allowed me the chance to photograph many places around the country
personally. I began to recieve recognition for my work and so I started
Crowe's Eye Photography in 2003.
Photography introduced me to my wife and business partner Joslyn Virgin
and together we have built Crowe's Eye into what it is today.
The artistic process and photography has given me life, love, and a
career. I love that blank sheet of paper.
