Statement:

My interest in photography began over fifty years ago watching my grandfather perform in the darkroom. I acquired my first camera soon after. More recently I have been able to witness my daughter develop her dance skills in the studio and on the stage. This in turn provided me a new opportunity as a photographer. Working with motion and limited light has been both challenging and rewarding.

I have chosen images for this exhibit that display both the strong athleticism of company members as well as the wonderful light provided by a most talented designer. The color is as it was that night, with no correction or adjustment.


Bio:

My professional involvement with photography has been on the business side, not the creative side. Originally from Saint Louis, I transferred to Indianapolis in the late seventies with a photofinishing firm. At present I am with a retail photographic company in downtown Indianapolis.
