Sarah burnishes the linen tape attaching two pieces of archival Coroplast (gaseous-inert plastic fluted mounting board) to make a section large enough. We then contact cemented another large pieced sheet to that one for extra rigidity.
You may notice we are working in the center of the gallery space instead of the shop. There is more room to work all the way around (and under) the piece in the gallery. The frame is supported by 4 saw-horses, covered in soft cloth for cushioning as well as an adjustable stand in the center to keep the heavy boards and plexi from sagging while we work.
