Amy Domogalik -- Show April 2007
Amy lives, paints and raises her 3 daughters in Zoinsville, Indiana. A native of the Hoosier state, she draws her inspiration for these beautiful abstract impressionistic works from nature, rocks and her faith. Amy showed at AV Framing Gallery in April of 2007.
Artist Statement:
I simply love playing with color! My passion is for new and different palettes. I work with the paint until I am content with the overall color, texture and balance of the piece. I find inspiration from God's hidden treasures in rocks and other natural formations.
As an artist, I have always sought opportunities to express myself. It as after the birth of our third daughter, that my husband encouraged me to pursue my love of painting. What had been an old hobby--painting flowers and scenery--transformed into a new passion--abstract painting.
I want my art to speak to people in ways that my words cannot. I feel that art can quietly reach the soul, connecting with "the voice inside", and I am pleased when my art is the catalyst for this connection.
