Nanette Winter's Artist Statement:
I love art you can feel.
I love color and texture. I love when paint drips and splatters in interesting ways. I love organic shapes inspired by nature like the bark of a tree, the petal of a wild flower, or the ripples in a puddle when raindrops fall into it. Trees absolutely fascinate me. They are each unique and special, like human beings; no two are exactly alike.
I also love the process of creation. My art is an exploration in spirit. From conception to completion, there are many twists and turns. By trial and error, I learn about the medium and myself. The beauty of it is, I often don’t really know where a project is going until it’s finished… all I know is that in the end, it just has to feel right.
