Artist Statement:

In life painting, all the years of concentrated figure study are condensed into an intimate encounter with the model. For me, this represents the essence of the creative impulse.

I am currently exploring the boundaries between reality and abstraction. In these paintings, the strength of the gesture provides the constant that binds this diverse body of work.
